WYSIWYS SDKiOS SDK

Installation

Install with Swift Package Manager

For the Xcode 27 and iOS 27 supported release 2026.1.2, follow the shared iOS SDK installation guide. It covers customer token authentication, adding the WYSIWYS package in Xcode, and installing WYSIWYS alongside Core. The package supplies the required Realm, PSPDFKit, and PSPDFKitUI binaries automatically.

Application requirements

  • A valid SDK license for the application's Bundle Identifier.
  • A view controller extending UIViewController that will host the PDF view.

To use WYSIWYSController.openSignatureSettings, add a PDF file named simple.pdf to the application's bundle resources in Build Phases → Copy Bundle Resources.

Continue with Getting started to configure and initialize the viewer.

Legacy manual installation

The following instructions apply only to the older, manually distributed .framework SDK. They do not describe the 2026.1.2 registry packages. Use the requirements supplied with your selected legacy distribution.

Legacy prerequisites

  • A device running iOS 12.4.5 or newer
  • Xcode 11.12 or newer
  • A valid SDK licence for the package name of the application
  • A view controller extending UIViewController that will host the PDF View.

Legacy setup

WYSIWYS SDK is provided as an fat static framework. The available architecture are armv7, arm64, i386 and x86_64.

  1. Open Xcode then drag an drop the sense-smartcontract-sdk-wysiwys-ios.framework into the Build Phases -> Link Binary With Libraries.

  2. Add the following framework in your project:

  • XCode core framework
    • WebKit.framework
    • SystemConfiguration.framework
  • Provided by Sysmosoft (It can be found in the sample app package -> ios -> app -> libs)
    • Realm.framework
    • PSPDFKit.framework
    • PSPDFKitUI.framework

Realm.framework, PSPDFKit.framework and PSPDFKitUI.framework must be embedded into the application. Select the target -> General -> Frameworks, Libraies, and Embedded Content -> Select Embed & Sign for those framework.

If the compilation fails, check if the Build Settings -> Framework Search Paths contains the path to the folder where the sense-smartcontract-sdk-wysiwys-ios.framework is located.

Legacy Swift bridging header

For this legacy framework distribution, a Swift application requires a bridging header. The registry package uses import WYSIWYS instead.

You can skip this part if you do not use Swift

Edit the bridging header to expose WYSIWYS SDK Objective-C code to your Swift code.

Here is an example of a bridging header for WYSIWYS SDK:

#ifndef SmartContract_Bridging_Header_h
#define SmartContract_Bridging_Header_h
///General dependencies

#import <objc/runtime.h>
#import <UIKit/UIKit.h>
#import <PDFKit/PDFKit.h>
#import <PSPDFKitUI/PSPDFKitUI.h>

///WYSIWYS

#import <sense-smartcontract-sdk-wysiwys-ios/Wysiwys.h>

#endif /* SmartContract_Bridging_Header_h */

If you are using a version without an umbrella header, you should use the bridging header version below instead :

#ifndef SmartContract_Bridging_Header_h
#define SmartContract_Bridging_Header_h
///General dependencies

#import <objc/runtime.h>
#import <UIKit/UIKit.h>
#import <PDFKit/PDFKit.h>
#import <PSPDFKitUI/PSPDFKitUI.h>

///WYSIWYS

#import <sense-smartcontract-sdk-wysiwys-ios/WYSSignatureAttributes.h>
#import <sense-smartcontract-sdk-wysiwys-ios/WYSIWYSController.h>
#import <sense-smartcontract-sdk-wysiwys-ios/WYSPdfViewerConfiguration.h>
#import <sense-smartcontract-sdk-wysiwys-ios/WYSSignatureStore.h>

#endif /* SmartContract_Bridging_Header_h */
